In terms of the score, unfortunately there is no way to say "if they get 80% on either this quiz or that quiz then they pass the course".
If you'd like the learner to retake the battleship quiz with different questions then yes you'd have to duplicate the quiz and redirect the learn to that quiz when they click on "retry". I'm having a hard time understanding the first issue you're describing, but it sounds like something you may want to open a support case for. Or do I add eight new questions in the original battleship game? In this case how do I select which questions to be displayed in the first try and which questions to be displayed in the second try? Again, the scores need to be added up correctly for each game and reset/re-posted if the user re-tries the quiz.
